10 Disruptive Guerrilla Tactics that Generate Hits and Conversions
- Saying something outrageously wrong – in other words, use a byline that is a lie; if it makes people angry, they will be compelled to read on and find out that you really do not believe that. (Example: Seth’s bestselling book title ‘All Marketers are Liars’ – the back cover said otherwise)
- Re-post this outrageous byline all over the place, in groups, on social networks, linked back to the original post with anchor text.
- Re-use your best posts – update them with new information and current statistics proving the correctness of the original post.
- Get the frequency right – if you post too often, you are boring, too little, you are forgotten – so maintain the conversation.
- Disagree with main-stream thoughts and methods; challenge main-stream thinking, especially when it is actually wrong; for instance: the idea of learning about social media in school is ridiculous – the information is outdated.
- Post your disagreements publicly challenging professors and academics in public forums.
- Follow and respond to others doing the above.
- Find an idiot who wants to have a pissing match.
- Make a fool out of the above idiot in an eloquent and unassuming way.
- Eloquently forgive the above idiot for believing in conventional wisdom – which has no place in getting to the top of anything as competitive as social media.
