New MapPress addon Map Navigator plugin cleans up messy Google maps from MapPress database in WordPress
New version released: adds these features:
- Cleans database for ‘orphaned’ MapPress Maps
- Links existing MapPress Maps into your Map Navigation hierarchy
- Simplified installation does not require editing of the theme’s functions.php (1 button install)
This is the new release of this new plugin installs from WordPress dashboard automatically, adds features to this already popular new plugin that we have created because we wanted to have Google maps site navigation at UpLog.org. This plugin creates site navigation snapshots of Google maps wrapped in small optimized WordPress posts pages that can load on any hand-held device and can be enhanced with advertising, links, and other value added features. The UpLog.org version has other features that will be added to future releases. This version created the navigation maps and pages, and you can order a pre-made taxonomy set for the US now if you so desire for $20 US. In our site at UpLog.org, there is a zero bounce rate on these pages. I believe that this is because of Google’s extensive research when they created the maps and markers: given this kind of navigation as a choice, visitors use these mash-ups to navigateUpLog.org. The future versions will include integration with WP-affiliates plugin and other enhancements.

WordPress approved this new plugin as a “slicing of bread” concept to Google Maps.
